How can I get explorer to show me Japanese web pages with the correct Japanese text? I don`t have the XP CD and can`t find a download on Microsoft`s website.
RE: Japanese language display
I thought it askes you about installing foreign text-support upon entering a site using them, and then downloads the needed components without needing the WinXP CD.
You might have disabled this question, but I don`t know how to re-enable it.. You could try pressing "Restore Defaults" in Tools->Internet Options->Advanced in IE, restart it and surf to the Japanese site again.
Hope it helps

You could enable install on demand from the IE tools/internet options and check intall on demand.
This has always prompted me to install the required components.
HOWEVER......not sure how this would compromise your systems security if at all, but this is where you would get the components. Good luck let us know how you get on.

RE: Japanese language display
Windows Update webby has the all available languages for download. Scroll down past the critical and security updates, should be listed there somewhere, been a while since I`ve had to do it.
