i cant get any sound from the card, can see pictures, all leads are connected etc, even tried using the audio out from the card into my normal sound card line in, but still nothing, any ideas???

have you got a muted setting? try the volume setting just in case.
i had a problem with my sound out, it was very quiet when outputting to a tv, the problem turned out to be a dodgy connector.

tv card is usually connected to the line in socket on the sound card which is often muted in the volume control in systray

minor consideration but if you get any background noise while playing sounds from other sources try muting line in again. I suspect the output on my WinTV card isn`t properly grounded or whatever and can sometimes put out a weak signal when not in use though I only notice this occasionally
