TV Out from PC

scapes (Harmless) posted this on Sunday, 23rd November 2003, 03:20

I hope you don`t mind me asking this - as I`m sure many will know the answer. A while back when I needed a graphics card I found one on special that had TV Out, but have never used it. I can see how to set it up to use a TV as an extra monitor, but is it possible to use it to copy DVD to VHS? Oh, the graphics card is a Radeon 7000. Cheers. :)

Am trying to do something similair my self connect the card to the Tv via either a SVHS or phono lead and select the appropriate channel on the tv. Go to the control pannel on your PC , then display, then settings , then click the monitor No. 2 and both your pc and tv should work .
Getting the desk top on both should be easy how you then get the Tv to show the DVD I dont know

you`ll have to get hacked versions of DVDplayer software because otherwise it`ll refuse to play the dvd on the grounds of using a non macrovision enabled TV out. Either that or you`ll get flickering intensity levels or whatever it is that macrovision plays around with
