Flatbed scanner with Transparancy Adapter

peaceful_warrior (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Wednesday, 31st December 2003, 13:14

Thanks to Santa, I`ve got a budget of around £150-200 and need to purchase a scanner. I need both flatbed and transparancy scanning capability. Any recommendations please?

So far I`m torn between:

Epson Perfection 3170photo

Canoscan 8000f

and

HP ScanJet 5530C

Any comments, preferences, advice - anyone got any of these?

Ta

Dan.

I have got the HP and am more than happy with it. The autofeed is especially useful if yu scan a lot of photos, even though it was not being something that i thought i would use when i bought it (i don`t use it as much now as i have my digital camera :D ). It is not the pretiest looking thing, but it does the job.
