What about the google toolbar - does the job as well as giving you the search options up the top.

Yep, I`ll second that. Been using it for about 6 months now, an essential addon to IE. Incidentally Internet Explorer shoud be having a popup stopper integrated into it in the next incarnation.

I use No-Ads
http://www.southbaypc.com/NoAds/

Also, I use Mozilla Firebird Internet browser, which has built in pop up stopper.
Also AOL 8.0, which also has a pop up stopper. :)

If you are not fussed what browser you use, try downloading Avant Browser.
You can get it from http://www.download.com

It has a built in pop-up blocker and is far more reliable than IE.

Best regards,
Andy

I used to use this Pop Up Stopper, which was very good, until the Google Toolbar built it into one of it`s updates. Now I just use the Google Toolbar, it works well, and it easy to turn of with one click should be be on a site that needs to use pop-ups (such as online banking).

It also has the added bonus of being able to search Google directly from your browser, fill forms in for you (if you add the info you want it to add - I wouldnt fill the credit card bit in though). You can get it here: Google Toolbar

Mark.
