Page 1 of saving text messages

I had a nokia 3510i and have now got a 6100.

Is there a way I can transfer the saved text messages that remain on the 3510i so that i can access them from the 6100?

The sim card seemed to hold onto about 10 of them but there are more that must actually be saved onto the phone itself.

If it helps, I have a cable that I should be able to use to `manage` my phone using oxygen phone manager (bought along witha disk from ebay of tones etc). However althought I could get it all to work with the 3510i I am having great bother getting any joy out of it at all with the 6100 (and yes it is a different cable and disk!!!)

I hope someone can help with my messages difficulty and perhaps even how to get the cable/tones up and running!
