Page 1 of fri 13th everythings going wrong.download new nero trial but burn button is greyed out cant use

i have been aving probs since 10 am this morning trying to solve probs with burning told to upgrade my nero which i did i lost my original in the processs as writes over and new trial dont work burn button stays grey cant use. i ave noticed a lot of people on web getting same problem with button does anyone know how to solve this?.is there a way also of getting my original back i ave serial code but lost disk have been searhing net all night fo down load they are all newer ones. would be very grateful for advice sick of looking on nero site and other help sites no one gets back to you. thanks jane

The problem is you`re trying to put a new trial version on over the old one and the program thinks you`re trying to use the program without buying the proper version. You might be able to get things working again, but I`d suspect that would mean pottering around in the system registry which I would not recommend for a newbie, sorry. Go into your Control Panel and select Nero from the Add/Remove Program list. This should clear the deck so you can reinstall your original (if you find it). Otherwise I`d bite the bullet and buy a copy of Nero 6, as it should work better. Please check this forum for the other threads you made, as there are some handy links to additional programs that should make your disc burning problems go away.

Have you tried system restore to a point prior to installing trial version of Nero.

If you uninstall nero and find that its not letting you do anything after a re-install, uninstall again (whew!) and search and delete any registry keys relating to Nero.

I had to do this a while ago as it thought that i was trying to use it `Illegally`, preventing me from even starting it.

If you still haven`t found your old nero disk, try www.oldversion.com. They have older versions for download.

You can download the full cracked version from here http://www.phucker.co.uk/public/ about a third of the way down you will see nero 6.0 ultra click on there and bobs ya uncle you have a full version and it didnt cost you a bean.By the way the site is by a friend of mine so you can trust it. 8)

While I`m sure the original poster may appreciate your help, I`m pretty sure your post and links are against this forums` rules...
I would remove them and maybe try to help in a more `constructive` manner..
by the way, there`s way better BT clients than that one ;-)
