Page 1 of Anyone tried the UT2004 demo?

Played this for an hour the other night, and really liked it. Though you could`ve mistaken the demo for UT2003, because it was quite a basic level. Still really looking forward to it though, because some of the setups sound awesome for the multiplayer levels, where you fight it out on a pirate ship for example, or try to attack the other team with helicopters while they ride in a train.

The game is out in March, and will be a definite buy for me. :D

Anyone else played it and fancy a game online? :p

Have you played Unreal 2 XMP? Its a really good team based shooter with vehicles and huge maps. Its a really good game.

If you fancy a game of XMP, 2003 or Halo, download x-fire from download.com. Its a messenger service for gamers and lets you connect directly to the servers your buddies are on. Its brilliant, quite frankly and saves loads of `are you in yet? ffs, you choose a server this time!`.

If you get it, add me nickthegun, as a buddy. Im always up for Halo or XMP. Them we`ll see what your made of ;)

I had a demo of XMP, but I didn`t like it that much really, and haven`t got Halo either. Going to definitely get UT2004 though, and when I do I`ll download X-Fire and we can battle it out on that then (thats if you`ve got UT2004 as well of course). :D

Yeah, im going to purchase the merchandise.

I prefer Halo to XMP. Its just more fun. If you can get your hands on a cheap copy of halo, itll be a good stopgap till 2004 comes out.

Was playing the demo again last night, after realising one of the modes has a big map with vehicles on. Anyway, with the added bonus of tanks, cars, hover cars and fighter jets it makes the game absolutely brilliant. Also, there are mounted guns that you can climb into (ala Matrix APU`s) which are brilliant. 16 players on each sides, with ground and aerial attacks going on all over the place - it was just stunning; especially taking out tanks and fighter jets with the homing missiles! ;) :D

Probably the best online game I`ve played so far - looking like it could be a BF1942 beater. Definitely can`t wait now... :D

When is UT 2004 Meant to be coming out now last time I heard it should have been out this month, but it must have been put back when is it coming out exactly?

A BF1942 beater,i very much doubt that,i played the demo but it looks very strangely like Halo, not on my shopping list,i think UT has run it`s course

On my shopping list for March are BF Vietnam and Far Cry ;)

Well I loved the demo, especially the "attack the train" scenario, and can`t wait for the release. And yes, I think it will be better than BF1942. ;)

I`ll also be buying BF Vietnam and Far Cry too. :D
