putting my vcd`s onto dvd`s.??? Help please...
I have just got myself a new dvd re-writer and i want to put my vcd`s onto dvd.
I am having trouble doing this because i am not sure how to go about it.
I tried a prog that came with the drive which is called RECORD NOW and it imports the vcd film BUT it is then well over 4.5 gigs..! how is this ? because the vcd is less than 700mb..!
I have tried nero 6 but it comes up with illegal stream formatt (or summat very similar to that. Also i have tried to send them to my drive like i normally do with vcd`s (using XP`s built in burner) but it just tells me there is no disc in drive or its the wrong type of disc.
Help me please ..... There must be others out there who have done this task.Ideally i would like to get 3 vcd`s onto 1 dvd disc . `if this is possible` but i will settle for one vcd at the mo. thank you in advance.............

Depends what you are really trying to do. If you have something like the Pacific DVD player you can just write a data DVD with the mpeg files on using either Nero or Record Now. If your DVD player can`t read raw data files then you will have to convert your (S)VCD to DVD and use an authoring package. Lots of help over here

You will need the Nero dvd - mpeg2 plug in for Nero to convert to dvd if you use Nero vision express to author the dvd.

That`s because you`re recoding VCD (MPEG-1) to DVD (MPEG-2). Your quality won`t go up, of course.
