Where to find Dual layer DVD Media

Wedge G (Elite) posted this on Sunday, 4th July 2004, 06:13

Tempted to buy an NEC-2510 now that they are £60 (was gonna order through SVP but found that my local computer place, Novatech, are doing for the same price so I may go pick one up on monday morning)

However, nowhere seems to stock the dual layer media. SVP are listing the Verbatim ones, but have told me that stock was due end of June, but they had no idea of prices. Novatech don`t have anything listed.

Does anywhere actually STOCK these discs yet, and if so, how much are they?

There`s some info on this site:

www.dvdwriters.co.uk/

The short answer is (1) not yet and (2) very expensive ...

Managed to find that DABs have somne listed at £49 for a 5 pack of the Verbatim ones, but I think I`ll wait for more to become available.

In the meantime, is there much of a difference between the +rw and the -rw, as if I do pick up the drive tomorrow, I want to be able to test it out.
