Page 1 of Help! my computer keeps dialling porn numbers!!

i think i might have some sort of virus or spyware as my pc dials up an adult porn premium number by remote connection, this is scary when i am on dial up, e.g i left my pc on whilst i went to make a cup of tea, when i came back it was connected to a premum rate number!!, i only noticed this by a small logo in the bottom right corner, i quickly pulled out the modem cable and deleted the adult dial up connection, good job i saw it and it had only been dialled on that number for under a minute it was £1.50 per minute, how do i get rid of this nuisence, i cant even leave the computer on anymore to download tunes!

free version should do the trick.

You also may want to give Spybot Search and Destroy, from www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html a go.

I use both `cos sometimes 1 will miss things the other will get.

I`m assuming you can still use your regular ISP to dial up to download them?

Get BT or whoever you get your phone from to block premium rate lines, might save you a small fortune.

Get latest virus definitions too and do a full scan, may find something.

Any other odd things going on - your browser home page changed or anything ? Does the dialer have a name you can see ?

yes my home page keeps changing, the system has been very slow lately, and the dialler is called hotsex, when i looked in programs menu, there it was so i deleted it, then it appears again after a couple of days,i even deleted it from add and remove programs menu but it still returns!! i already have adware 6 and spybot installed but these are not responding, everytime i click on them they appear and then disapear in 1 second??? i have reinstalled them, its as though what ever this thing is it is somehow preventing spybot and adware 6 from working

also google for CWSHREDDER this should clean up the registry etc, it`s only a tiny program so if you can`t find it pm me and i`ll email to you :)
