Page 1 of LITEON 5001

I`ve used my liteon 5001 to record my home video collection & pleased with the results.When finalized they play in another dvd player, but I can`t get them to play on my computer using intervideo Windvd, any ideas out there? Thanks.

Whats the make and model of your dvd-rom in your pc ?

Its a Matsh*ta SR8585 & I just downloaded a trail of power DVD but it still doesn`t recogise the disc!

Your drive manufacturer is actually a sub company of Panasonic

so here is the listing of your drive

on this page it states drive will read DVD-RAM and DVD-R

if am not mistaken the 5001 is a DVD+R machine
so I guess your pc drive can`t read DVD+R

you could ask the manufacturer a question on the link below if there is anyway to get
DVD+R to work on this drive (firmware upgrade ?)
