Laptop connected to mobile phone via Bluetooth
Hi
Got a Sony S700i and a Sony laptop VGN-A317M. Currently using bluetooth to dial-up the internet, anybody use or know any better (or cheaper) way to get faster reliable net access.
Thanks

Just place your information request`s via the bird, launch the bird and ( some time later ) I will then send you a printed page of that request......
No hold on.......... can anybody else help ( SORRY in advance !? )
RE: Laptop connected to mobile phone via Bluetooth
Bit of a difficult question to answer, as it depends on where you use the laptop. The only alternatives are to buy a 3g datacard which will save going bluetooth to the mobile, but will essentialy be the same solution - it will give you a quicker connection, but cost more.
The alternative is to connect via a conventional network. that means that you need either a wifi card/usb stick which will allow you to connect at various wifi hotspots or to a wireless network in your home / office if you have one. or to get a cable and simply plug it into the network but that ties you to a desk somewhat. (unless you have a very long lead :D )
Of course you could get a usb modem and connect directly to the phoneline, either dialup or broadband.
Hope this helps.
