Best tool to compress DVDS?

I currently use DVD Shrink and find it very effective. Is there anything better out there? Recode any better?

I use Shrink on a regular basis and TBH I would reckon that you should stick with what you know works.
There may be other utilities that do more but Shrink does what most need it to do, namely fit one 6-8 Gig disc on to one 4.7 Gig blank.
The back-ups I have done , from my own discs, are almost indistinguishable from the original and as such Shrink is good enough for me and most users.
If you really want to do more then have a wee swatch athttp://www.videohelp.com"" target="_blank"> http://www.videohelp.com and you may find utilities that may do more than Shrink does.

An oft overlooked feature of DVd Shrink is it`s ability to put 2 (or more) DVD`s on a single disc..Ideal if you`ve got short DVD`s you want to combine

I have DVD Shrink 3.1, I see there is a later version, 3.2 out there but I cannot find a site to download it from, I keep on thinking that I found a site only to be sent off elsewhere.
