Page 1 of apple trailers
PCs & Mobiles Forum
Hi o` knowledgeable ones.
If I view a trailer on the apple site and want to watch it again later, where is it on my hard drive.
If i use firefox i assume it`ll be in the cache under c:C:\Documents and Settings\user\aplictions\mozilla\firefox\cache
BUT
these files have no extensions AND i don`t know what to rename the large files as to play in quick time. .mov doesn`t work.
Any ideas??

Firefox uses a much smarter cache system than IE.
The windows file system sucks, it really can`t handle more than a few files in a directory before it starts to slow down. Yet another reason why Firefox is faster than IE.
However there is a site called http://www.movie-list.com/ which often links directly to direct downloads for trailers.

you can save them out in firefox by going to the tools menu and selecting page info, then goto the media tab, you will see all the media objects and can highlight them and save them. vids are normaly embeded, just look at the file name and size and type in the info when you click it
Once you`ve played them, can`t you just click the little down arrow to the right of the progress bar thingy and select "Save as Quicktime Movie"? Or is that just the pro version of the player?
