Page 1 of VCD Help Needed

I have downloaded a film from a legal free site but it`s to big to fit onto one VCD. Can anyone tell me of a programme that will allow me to split it onto 2 VCD`s. Or shrink it to fit. ?

It`s my first time trying to do this so as easy to understand as possible please.
