Hi there im running xp sp2 o/s i keep getting a cd icon flashing rapidly to the right of my mouse cursor what is causing this its doing my head in ? many thanks

have you got a cd in the dri8ve thats not loading properly?

no no disc in drives i installed a dvdrom drive as a slave to my dvdrw i have performed scan disk etc but still get this cd icon lol

sounds like one f the disc drives isnt working right, constantly trying to access something it shouldn`t...?
