Page 1 of vodafone connect 3G data card-how expensive to run?

Looking at some ACER laptops with `free` 3G card. Has anyone used one on pay as you go? I`ll probably stilll buy an ACER and not use the card much but for just surfing on the odd occasions I`m away from the house how much is it to run say for half an hour?

I looked into it last year when i got a letter saying I qualified for it there was two options paymonthly and pay as you go. However you have to set up a direct debit with them even a pay as you go account, the monthly one i think was about 40 pound a month, it did work out £1 per 2mb, which is quite expensive, reception can be quite patchy as well from what I have heard, it might have gone down by now. I just going to get one then flog it one, but as they wanted direct debit details before sending it out, couldnt be bothered with hassle.
