Page 1 of w800i or d600 ?
PCs & Mobiles Forum
I am after a new phone and was after any opinions on which is better, the sony w800i or the samsung d600.
both very similar spec, the video & camera seem slightly better on the w800 + the walkman feature is excellent & the supplied headphones are superb (better than those supplied by nokia, samsung & apple by a wide mile) but it`s your choice, tbh i`d just pick the one you think looks best, i have the w800 & would deffo pick it again, but a lot of my friends have the d600 & prefer it simply because they prefer the look of the d600 over the w800, so it`s down to personal choice.

The video clips on the D600 are far far superior as they are in MP4 format as opposed to 3GP on the W800. With the D600 you also get phono cables to link it up to your TV and even when you watch the video clips taken on the D600 they look good on a large TV.
Agreed the radio/walkman and headphones are superb for the w800.
I have the W800i and my bro has the D600, If I had the choice again i`d probably go for the D600.
"Dont mention the zed word"
the w800 also plays mp4`s as well as 3gp (but as stated above only records 3gp) but as i said before, it`s down to personal preference. i`d still go for the w800, despite the vodeo recording performance it still takes better stills than the d600, & has more memory etc etc, but the design is important as well, i personaly prefer "candy bar" phones, if i where you i`d pop into town & have a play with both before you decide :)
