What free-ware program is out there for backing up DVD`s?
Was using DVD Shrink but the most up to date version does not work with the new DVDs I`ve brought.
Any ideas? :)
Never found it that user friendly and dont think it keeps the menus.
Thanks anyway .... any further programs?

I seem to have a problem when using DVD Shrink
I am attempting to backup films The Chronicles of Narnia & Flight Plan
Get to about 23% coding then get a disc read error
Is this some sort of CSS encryption that Shrink can`t copy?
I`ve not had a problem with any other films up until now
Any thoughts
ok. If it`s a disc read error you could try the following method...
first make an ISO using DVD Decrypter *clicky*
Then open the ISO with DVD shrink. This way, you`ll be reading from your HD and not your DVD ROM which could be having problems. (it`s a bit quicker this way too!)
You can get DVD Decrypter here

DVDFab Decrypter. ;)
A lot of new stuff won`t be done by DVD Decrypter now. Apparently.

We will pay the price but we will not count the cost..
:B long time lurker, first time poster and hope this helps! - i think you have fallen foul of sonys "arcoss" security on the disc.. Decrypter will do it, but needs a little help.. you need to pop over to the knowledgeable guys on the DVD Shrink forums where all will be revealed http://forum.digital-digest.com/forumdisplay.php?f=47
please feel free to pm me if u need any further info on it
p.s just checked, it appears to be "ripguard" protected... still not a problem tho..
