Page 1 of Trouble with new router

Afternoon guys

I have just brought a new wireless router from tescos this afternoon.I have plugged it all in but only 1 of the 2 computers connected can access the internet.

Its a Micradigital wireless router (although it says Belkin on the router base and on the box) I Plugged my blueyonder modem into the router, the the router to the 2 computers using the same cables as the old router was using.

I switched on the pc on the right and tried to access the internet and it gave me "The page cannot be displayed" so as a quick test i closed zone alarms down and did a refreash and it brought up google so i got the ip address using WNTIPCFG, opened zone alarm up and added to my trusted network list no problems.

So i booted up the computer on the left, again i tried to access the internet and "The page cannot be displayed" popped up so again i used WNTIPCFG to get the ip address put it in my trusted list on zone alarm and "The page cannot be displayed" so i rebooted windows tried again and still "The page cannot be displayed". So i turned off zone alarm and it will not access the internet.I have changed the cables connecting the conputer to the router, i have tried all four ports still nothing. But I can access the shared files on both computers and use the printer from both computers.


any ideas guys

Try manually setting up your DNS settings on each PC. Can be done by going into network connections in control panel, viewing the properties for the LAN (or whatever network you have set up), then viewing the properties for TCP/IP.

Set it to Manually Obtain DNS. DNS addresses for blueyonder are (according to portforwarding.com):
193.38.113.3
194.177.157.4
