Page 1 of NTL broadband speed increase?

I got an email from NTL back in May telling me that my 2meg connection was going up to 4meg in another of the free NTL `upgrades` by the end of June but Ive not seen any difference in my connection speed as yet and Ive just done a speed check and my connection is still 2meg...anyone else had an upgrade yet? ...I know its only July 2nd, but Im impatient LOL :D

Ive done a quick search of the threads but cant see anyone else mention the increase....anyone else had the upgrade yet or know anything about it??

I just checked my speed and was reported by speed test as 3740kb/s download which is nearly 4mbit.

I live in northants and didn`t receive an email about the increase. I was going to go to 10mbit but now its 4mbit i`ll stick ith it for now.

Im up in the North East so it might be upgraded region by region ...I`l keep checking over the next few weeks ;)

Most NTL upgrades have been carried out now. I recommend that you reboot your cable modems (unplug at mains for a minute) and try it again.

Yeah -Northampton here and I had mine a while ago. I only noticed because downloads seemed a lot quicker from some sites. Checked the NTL webby and found out about the increase, then did a speed test and confirmed it!

I was at my mums yesterday and asked her if she had been upgraded ..she didnt know anything about it either, so I did a speed check at hers and she was on 4meg (she switches off the modem when the pc isnt in use where as I dont)...so I went home and rebooted the modem and bingo...fast as lightning , well faster than before ;)
