Page 1 of 19" monitor, widescreen or 4:3?

Which would be a better choice? For word processing and internet. Will not be using it for DVDs as there is a widescreen tv in the room.

Is there an other uses for the widescreen version? The 4:3 will give a greater area and will be cheaper, though only by £20 for the ones I`ve seen on Ebuyer or play.com (budget end with DVI)

Well 4:3 resolution does indeed give you more desktop space. If both monitors have the same horizontal resolution then 4:3 aspect ratio is definitely much better for what you are using it for.

I recently wasn`t sure what to get, decided on 4:3, and then got BenQ FP91G+, v happy with it.

was around 150 from dabs, 19" tft, dvd and d sub.
