how do I stop PC asking to connect to wireless every odd time I switch on?

this pc is linked via a wireless router. Since being encrypted it is asking me to locate a suitable network (but only one is available-mine) so I have to click on connect. Of course only hassle is about 20 seconds but never use to do it. Can I get the pc to remain cnnected onto my network and not search virtually every odd time i switch it on?

My laptop is also linked wirelessly but it doesn`t have the same problem. Both running XP.

Thanks

Hi

if you`re using the windows built in wireless config, then there`s a tick box
to ensure you always connect to your designated preffered wireless network.

Ste.

It can sometimes get confused. Get the occasional student laptop doing this. Easiest fix is to delete the connection and re-add it. Takes about 30 seconds.
