Page 1 of 2 problems with WMP help!!!

upgraded to windows xp, noted 2 problems with WMP.

1. ripping CDs took a long time, was ok under win 2000.

2. When I then tried to load WMP after getting out of it to see if this would speed up ripping it wouldn`t load at all, of course it did to start with for me to rip the CD in the first place.


Any simple solutions would be appreciated.
