please help! i`m infected with `intcodec`

I`ve stupidly just clicked on something i shouldn`t have and now i`ve installed something called intcodec which makes pop ups appear telling me i`m infected with spyware.
i`ve typed intcodec into google and there does seem to be solutions, but they all seem too complicated for a novice like me.
can anyone explain to me simply what i have to? I don`t understand things like `hijack logs`
Really really appreciate any help you can give.

Firstly I`m assuming you have a decent Anti-virus program, if not you need one. It needs to be up to date, and you need to run a full scan.
(http://free.grisoft.com is a source for AVG a pretty good free one)

Get hold of CWShredder and run that.

Then get Ad-Aware, update it (it will prompt you to do so) and then run a full system scan.

In theory the combination should clean any stuff that`s on your machine.
However, I`ve never heard of this one specifically so you might need to do more. Will have a read about it, but try the above first.
