PCs & Mobiles Forum
howdoo, my dads pc has been infested by this little nasty, spybot & addaware won`t touch it so i was wondering if anyone here had any experience with it, theres a wealth of info on the net, but unfortunately i`m to paranoid to trust most of it :D i generaly get by by not getting infected in the first place :/ but my dads not too bright when it comes to security etc, any idea`s, or should i just give it a wash`n`wipe :)

I Cant Do Magic
well i could try some advice but since that would be from using google to search other forums i`d just be plotting with them to further infect your pc so i suggest you reformat his computer as we cannot be trusted. Or alternatively try some of the suggestions that turn up in the search (aslong as they come from forums and are not removal tools from commercial websites)
try this forum thread as it seems reasonable enough

heh, i trust you guys, thats why i posted here ;)
the reason i`m a little paranoid about google for such thing is because it`s a Very well known fact that unscrupulous firms like spyware sheriff seed the results to there advantage ;) with the single aim of infecting you further so you buy there product, thus paying them 19 dollers to remove the s*** they put there in the first place :/
thanks for the link, i`ll check it out. my main problem is that my dad will not learn, even after i sort this problem out he`ll only end up in the same situation again eventually because he`ll forget to update/scan his system :(
"he`ll forget to update/scan his system"
I`ve been using this for about 18 months now and hardly anything has got through. It blocks them before they even get onto your computer. What little has got through has been dealt with by spybot and were fairly harmless anyway. Best of all it`s free.
Spyware Blaster
Pay them the dollar equivalent of about £6-7 and for a year it automatically updates itself every time you connect to the internet.
I have no connection with the company etc etc.
Hope this helps.
