I am struggling and failing to see how to rip a dvd to hard disk ready to use videora to convert it to put on an ipod.
Can you hire 14 year old geeks? :/
:/
RE: Ripping a dvd to hard disk
use smartripper to rip it down, & select max file size, this way the movie will be 1 big file rather than loads of vobs etc, then get pspvideo9 iirc theres an ipod option in the conversion bit :)
hope this helps.

Yippee!
Got the first bit of a movie playing on the ipod.
But when I ripped it it broke into 4 x vob files.
Can I keep it as one big file using Smartripper?
RE: Ripping a dvd to hard disk
yes, just go into settings & select max file size, & put it to 9gig, then you will just get the bare movie in 1 single file :)

yeah :) sorry, i should have mentioned that :) but assuming your using XP or above you should be fine, although many external drives are formated to fat or fat32 by default.

Which selection do you select in psp 9 for copying to ipod format?
How long does it take to transcode 4 gig file usually?
I have managed to get a file from DVD, 4 gig vob video.
When I try to convert it in psp or videora, it gets to 100% but doesn`t stop, is this normal?
How long should it take to convert it?
Also what setting in psp is correct for ipod?
