Page 1 of Vista Upgrade on 2 PC`s?

I got a copy of Vista premium when i bout my PC last year, i didnt want to insatll it as i heard bad things bout Vista at the time, now my Laptop is acting up and i plan on changing it in a few months but i was going to use the Vista disc on it in the mean time....

1. Will i be able to use the Vista disc on my PC also if needed?
2. Will it become useless if i use the Poduct Key with the laptop?

It can only be used on one machine.
And from what I understand, once you install it on that one machine then that is the licence used, and you won`t be able to transfer it to another machine.

Thanks MilesR, so even if i only use it on the laptop before i change it i wont be able to use it again, i`ll just wait to get a new laptop

I am of course assuming its an OEM version of Vista (if you got it with a previous machine then it probably will be).

A non-OEM version can be transferred.

Not sure, how can i tell? I had to send away for it a couple of months after buyin my pc, as i bought my pc just before vista was released i was entitled to a copy of vista.

It will be an upgrade OEM version then.
