Moved to wireless - now Azureus won`t work :(
As the header says.
I had enough trouble getting wireless to work, now I seem to have got it all set up but now I`m unable to get anything downloaded using Azureus.
When it loads up I get a `UPnP: Mapping `Incoming Peer Data Port (UDP/xxxxx) / (TCP/xxxxx)` failed` message. Several times.
Is there something I need to mess about with to get this working? I`m by no means any good with PCs so any advice in words of 2 syllables or less would be helpful!

Well, what did you have before you went wireless?
Did you have a router or an ADSL modem?
Your problem is probably a port forwarding issue...basically your router needs to forward on the incoming internet traffic to your PC on the UDP & TCP ports that you`ve configured Azureus for.

also, try UtorrentNo, don`t just try it, switch to it..
Is uPnP enabled on your router?

I was on an ADSL modem before, this is the first time I`ve used wireless. Got a card for the laptop so had to set that up, then had to set up the router itself - no end of hassles!
Just checked the settings and UPnP is enabled. Not sure how to forward the ports though, anyone else using Tiscali that can advise?
I`ll give utorrent a look, thanks for that :)

I have not read the full thread but I agree with switching to uTorrent. You will also need to forward your port.

OK, hair-pulling-out and screaming time.
Should I be disabling uPnP in my router settings or something? What IS uPnP anyway?
Finally managed to set up port-forwarding, which in itself was an epic journey when you start involving static IPs and the like. But then I found a very helpful guide on portforward.com and all was rosey.
It didn`t work.
I disabled the Windows Firewall in case that was the problem.
It still didn`t work.
I re-enabled the Windows Firewall and set up an exception using the port specified.
It`s still not working (seeing the pattern?).
Then I started wondering if it was something I had running, like anti-virus software. I currently have the latest versions of AVG Free, Ad-Aware, Spybot-SD and Spyware Guard on the go. Which seems like quite a lot to have running, to be honest.
Tempted to uninstall Azureus completely and go for uTorrent, but then the worry is I won`t be able to get that working!
Any thoughts? Heeeeeeeeellllllp meeeeeeeee... All those little red faces in my downloads and little blue faces in my uploads are making me so sad.
