Outlook 2003 not receiving ALL mails on Orange Broadband account

Bezzawezza (Elite) posted this on Sunday, 24th August 2008, 14:21

I have Outlook confugured on my old man`s PC for his Orange broadband email account but have a problem whereby its not downloading ALL emails. It does the majority of them but misses quite a few. I have checked all settings like a POP and SMTP server addresses but okay and if they were wrong then nothing would work but still not working.
I can log into the webmail account and see the mails sat there but Outlook still will not pull them down. I checked all settings in tthe Orange account but can`t find any settings at all for whether to leave the mails in the account etc and can`t even find a way to switch their spam filter off. Any advice guys?

When you log on to Orange webmail it creates an account rebmem[at]xxx which is where Orange will then send all their communications to you. This account will also need to be specified in Outlook. All versions of the email addresses you use need to be covered by the accounts in Outlook. I had this confusion for a little while after using the Orange webmail service.

That makes some sense as alot of the "stuck" emails were from Orange. However, there were a few that had been sent from a friend of his and had been sent to the correct account. weirdly he has received most emails from this guy just not these few.
Also, when you say "this account will need to be specified in Outlook" do you mean that I need to set up another account to download the mails for that member account???

Cheers
