have a advent laptop, just over a year old. when unplugged from charger finding battery dying within 15-20 mins even tho battery sign saying between 50-75% charged still. duff battery?
guess there not meant to last then
A year seems a bit short to me. :/ Maybe worth complaining to Advent? Probably get you nowhere but it`s cheap to do!

A year seems a bit short to me. Aren`t they only guaranteed for 6 months now? Or some of them? If you`ve generally used it almost every day and charged it each day then after a year+ it`s not surprising you only get a year or so.
In the last year or so processors have got much more efficient and can last much longer between charges though.
I get about a year out of my work one. It then seems to say it`s charged really quickly, gives false tiime remaining readings an then clicks of without warning - no shutdown/hibernation.. That`s used every day on battery until it`s low - with wi-fi.

We will pay the price but we will not count the cost..
If it`s an Advent EM-G320L2S battery then I have one here I bought from PC World to do some experimenting with (actually bought two and wrecked the other.... this one is still boxed and never used!)
...and by never used I mean it`s never been in a laptop so hasn`t even had an initial charge yet so if it`s the correct model I could be persuaded to part with it cheap ;)
