having been a buyer from play for a few years now i was frustrated to get hammered by customs after ordering a R1 LOTR boxset from them. i know theres now a warning when ordering R1 stuff now, but having never been stung from therm before i was disappointed...

G`day Elephant,
Seriously, Customs don`t hand the VAT, Import duty and handleing charges to Play. These monies go to the Chancelor. It`s a consequence of paying more than £18. Try ordering from companies that ship from the UK, some do (I don`t know why, Interdvd?).

Best wishes

ive never had problems with play over the many years ive bought from them. anyway it wasnt an astronomical amount i got charged, but £12 was still quite a lot.
