Page 1 of Anyone else got a grudge against Simplygames?

I recently ordered Unreal Championship for the xbox form Simply games, When it affived it was not not covered in polythene, and didn`t have the security seal. To add to the fact that it had been opened that manual had also been written in! I`m in the process of writing a letter of complaint, but am interested to find out if anyone else has been conned into accepting a 2nd hand game as new!

rik same here m8 i seen your post in bargain buckets orderd it it came thurs / fri openend it unpacked obviously second hand game if i wanted preowned id of bought via ebay this was for myself but if it had been a pressie id of gone mental defo dodgy this site m8 without a doubt ! there was no mention whatsoever about second hand on there site was there ?

Nope, no mention of second hand whatsoever. I`m not sure whether to ask for a brand hew copy of the game or a refund and keeping the second hand one.
What`re your actions going to be?

I`ve bought as few things from them over the last few years and thye`ve always been okay. I did have a problem with a faulty DVD Region X but they took it back and let me upgrade to an Action Replay V2

They also sell on amazon marketplace, and their ratings are worrying.

Oh sweet Simply Games! I think the company title may say it all…the 'people' that work for that place are all a bit simple. To be honest I'd avoid this company like the plague (or maybe SARS if you want to get all modern on me). I remember ALL the way back to when I purchased my Dreamcast (hey, it was a great console, don't mess) from this place.I just had nothing but trouble. Most of my pals have also had the same experience…but then one of them was ordering the 'Knightrider' game, so maybe he deserved the poor treatment. Anyway, as tempting as their prices can be, I'd rather just stick with a company that are a little more trustworthy…say, Amazon or Play (but then saying that, I've been waiting for a Play DVD for a few weeks now…will I ever be happy?).

Yep, they are a joke

I ordered Unreal when it was £15, waited about three weeks, order status said still awaiting stock. When i checked the website, it was back up to £32 and available in 48hrs. I sent them an email about this and they said they were "unable to restock" Unreal. Said they must have forgotten to notify me of this, and then i mysteriously recieved the notification email the next day. Naturally, i cancelled my order

i think they run from a car boot m8 my copy was second hand

Anyone got a url for these? Just so we don`t confuse them with someone else?
