Page 1 of Oposite of a bargain.

I my quest to find scarface, (see other thread) I came across section in woolworths that said cheap dvds.

Now I know what is cheap, so when I see Gladiator for £24.99 it`s just not cheap.

But is this false advertising?

Likewise, look at CDwow`s "bargain" pages. Beats me why 90% of them are there. Having said that, I`m sooooooooooooooo glad for the other 10%. Guess the cognoscenti amongst us are just plain spoiled.

Nope - legally a shop can charge what they want for a product. It`s a long know con that if a shop charges twice what a product is worth for thrity consecutive days they can then put it back to the original price and call it "Half Price".

This was a common tactic when I worked at a well known highstreet electrical and photographic retailer.

There is probably something in my contract that forbids me from telling the world about their con tactics, this means that can`t say "yes" to your answer, regardless of how correct it may be. ;-)
