My Tesco is being revamped - adding `entertainment` section - any good?

Richard Lloyd (Competent) posted this on Saturday, 1st May 2004, 01:21

My local Tesco branch is undergoing major surgery (extending the side of the store into the car park) and they`re adding a new "home entertainment section" when they`ve finished the refurb. So what are Tesco`s DVD prices like - anyone seen any good bargains there? I presume they`re a bit lower than the typical 16-20 quid for new releases you see in non-supermarket stores...

I guess it`ll become a Tesco Extra store, ours did a while ago. DVD prices don`t seem any cheaper, except for the usual s[ecial offers. The electrical section gets soem good stuff in though. Dansai DVD players were a big favourite a while ago, although last time I looked it was another brand they were pushing. Plenty of stuff to choose from though. :)

Mark. :)

8) My local Tesco store has been expanded twice now. The only advantage as far as I can see is being able to go in and get your DVD there and then - hey, just like any store!!

Prices are generally not as cheap a the internet so if you can wait a few days then you`re always better off ordering online. Tesco website occaisionally has vat-free offers though but only then is it even worth considering as they charge for delivery.
