DVDSoon declared values...

A word of warning when ordering boxsets from dvdsoon in their sale. I pre-ordered a ton of stuff on the fidelity card to get the 25% discount at the beginning of January. I can deal with it being charged to my credit card before its shipped (though i wasn`t expecting it to be charged until shipped), but their box packaging displays their full retail price, not the 25% discounted price I actually paid.
This meant that I just got hit with about £8 worth of import and clearance on one boxset (well £3.83 VAT, and £4 Royal Mail clearance), making it not quite the bargain I thought it was going to be. The worst thing is I bought more boxsets and I know that i`m gonna get stung for about an extra £50 - £60 over the next couple of months :(

I`ve mailed them to let them know to declare the real price paid, but I never got any response from them on previous queries, so don`t expect to now!

Just thought you guys should know in case you`re thinking of using their "Valentines" 14% discount offer, cos customs will just look at the price declared on the box.

cheers

Just cancel the outstanding orders. If they do not refund your card then get go through your credit card company and they will get the money back.

you can reclaim the overpayment to customs if indeed the final value after discount was less than £18. give them a call with the number on the customs charge form.

This sounds very promising Saqib.
What`s the procedure? Do they give you an email address for you to forward your original invoice advice from DVDSoon?

what i did was to send all my receipts to customs showing my order as well as the discount received.

call the customs number on the form and explain the whole situation and they will expand on how to do claim the charges back.
