DVDBoxoffice - where`s my effing films?

bigboy (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Friday, 1st June 2001, 22:37

Can anyone shed any light on exactly how long it takes to receive anything from DVD Box Office?

I had read rave reviews on them on this site so thought I`d try 2 pre-orders: Vertical Limit (invoiced 18/5/01) and Traffic (invoiced 24/5/01).

So where are they? I presume they are sent when invoiced as I`ve got shipping numbers. (I haven`t checked if the cards been debited yet)

I realise the release date for Traffic was 29/5, but Vertical Limit was 22/5.
A mate got his from Play 24/7 ages ago...O.K., so he said it was a crap film, but I`d still like to see it get here!

Yes, I know Jersey or wherever it is, is closer than Canada, but is pre-ordering worth it if the title turns up AFTER it`s released over here!

Anyway, that`s my moaning done. Thanks for listening.

Bigboy,
DVD Box Office disc`s generally take around 2 to 3 weeks to arrive.
I do not know why, as I can get disc`s from EzyDVD in Austrailia in 4 days.
It must be the Canadian Postal System????? or Air Mail from Canada???

EzyDVD Rules!!!!!!!!
Received, The Cell and End of Days today. Ordered Monday 28th May.
Total 58.50 AUS Dollars inc Postage. (approx. £20-00).
Bargain in my book!

ive ordered loads from them an theyve always taken exactly a week. however ive got one coming now which is taking longer, i think its probably due to the backlog after the postal strike.

Normally takes 1-2 weeks, but I am still waiting for Traffic.
Also had a problem recently of missing chapter lists in Men of Honor and Shadow of the vampire. They say they will send Men of Honor one, but Shadow doesn`t come with one - I find this odd. Does anyone have a copy with chapter list.
All in all, I find Dvd Box Office cheapest for straight forward DVDs but not so for double discs, box sets etc.
Cheers,
Aaron
