MailboxMovies / DVD365 problem

jean88 (Elite) posted this on Tuesday, 8th March 2005, 18:28

I have been with MailboxMovies for over a year now and never had a problem. But since their merger with DVD365 their services are really slowed down, for example I have sent my previous film last Thursday and still have not received the new one (my account on their website shows that a disk has been dispatched). Before I could watch about 2 films per week but now it seems that it is down to 1. I called them this morning but no joy really, the guy on the phone told me to monitor the situation and was not bothered if I was leaving them or not.

Has anybody else experienced a slower service? I am thinking to switch to somebody else if this does not improve. Can anybody recommend any other retailer offering a good service. Many thanks.
JC

I have just cancelled my subscription to DVD365 as their service is crap.

They never answer any emails, and couldn`t actually give a toss about my complaints.
They could care even less that I cancelled.

Avoid at all costs. Join Blockbusters online rental service instead!

I have sent them an email a few days ago and receive a reply only today (this was after complaining on the phone). They were saying that they had some problem with restructuring the stock etc.

Anyway I did put a disk in yesterday and they have sent the new one today. Let`s wait and see if they can keep that going. I have done some research and found that Tesco offer a membership for £7.49 (i think) for 1 disk at the time. If MailboxMovies/DVD365 screw up again I will give Tesco a go.

Tesco DVD Rental is powered by Video Island ...and they are useless as well.

Hi

From experience I would avoid anything to do with DVD365. I was charged a month`s rental because they claimed 1 disc did not arrive back in time - it was posted 4 days before the end of the trial. It has taken 2 months to resolve & I had to involve credit card company.
