RE: Blockbuster Video Trade-In Service, Anyone Tried It Yet?
While I was waiting to get the Incredibles out the Pikey family in front of me nearly started a scrap with the manager over video prices.
They had 4 carrier bags full of videos and the manager only offered them `40p each and only on ones we want`. They went crazy but the manager said `well we only sell them on for barely a quid and weve had so many in recently its barely worth our while`. They were not impressed to say the least. I dont think even with the 4 bags they had enough even to trade in for a dvd!
So, anyway, the price is 40p each in our local BB`s
I Dont know Karate...but I know Ker-azy!

I`ve had 20p, 40p and 60p. It all depends on the video.
That`s to put on your Block Buster account, which you can use toward anything in the shop.
If you just want the cash, it`s half the value stated.
It is also worth remembering that BB sell these videos off cheap and, in my shop, they also sell them as `Buy One Get One Free`.
So don`t expect much for them in cash!
In my local BB, the staff don`t make the final decision which to take or not.
That is decided when they scan the barcode and the system tells them to accept it or not.
"Computer says NO"
Of course if the video is in bad condition I doubt they`d waste time scanning it and just refuse it.

Blockbuster trade in prices are a joke, even for DVDs they pay peanuts. Ebay punters and second hand shops don`t want to know about videos anymore. The only place I`ve had any success selling is at the local car boot. :(

Charity shops all the way.
