Page 1 of Play.com is better than you lot say!

i bought a copy of Sword Fish a few weeks a go it had problms playing well i have read loads of bad things from play so i thought i would never get thought to them on the phone when i tried i got throught with in 1min i sent back the film they sent a new one out nearly the next day and i got it today only one week from sending my other copy back this one works fine

Well i beg to differ. I recently bought a copy of Shrek on region 1. When i played the film i noticed that the soundtrack was dodgy, i then rung Play247 up and managed to get through "eventually". They told me to return the dvd back to them registered post and would then test the dvd and send me a new one if the dvd was faulty. Well almost two weeks passed and i had not heard anything from them, so i decided to ring them up. The dvd had been delivered to play 2 days after posting (you can track your mail on the internet). However, play still claimed that they had not had the dvd. I explained that this could not be so, as Royal Mail had delivered the dvd. They then checked again and realised that they had infact had the dvd back, then, by some miracle they sent me another dvd within 4 days of phoning!!!!!!!

One time I ordered 2 of the same DVD by accident and was too late to cancel 1 of them. So I had to sent 1 back and Play not only refunded the DVD, they also refunded my Postage!

I have ordered over 20 DVDs from them (out of a total of 33 in my collection). I ordered 4 jackie chan movies on frioday afternoon (1 R1, 3 R2). Got the R1 on Monday, Got the 3 R2s today. I got the confirmation emails on saturday that they had been posted. Only cost £50 for 4 films. not gonna complain at that.

Cant complain about play as every order i have placed has arrived in 4 days.

i`ve lost count of how many i`ve ordered from them and i`ve got nothing but good things to say about them - i once had a faulty DVD and they refunded my postage cost too which i didn`t even ask them to do ! - sounds like the Royal Mail cause them problems but that`s hardly Play`s fault.

Managed to get thru on the phone to-day
They are having problems with certain payment types
( thanks for informing me - NOT )

So 24 Hr dispatch turns out to be 96 hour dispatch

I guess we all are allowed to make the odd mistake , once in a while

We have a reasonably large collection of DVDs - 150 plus and yes we do have a life! We bought possibly 15 from Play247 and found that our last order was 4 wks late - also 4 wks after debiting our card - so we are using others such as Futureent until Play247 have got their postal probs sorted. Vern

i have bought well over 50 dvd`s from play and have never had any problems at all.dvd`s have been delivered within 2 or 3 days, money has been refunded quickly whenever discs were faulty. i do not have a bad word to say about them.
