It`s time that we shook ourselves and forgot about all the poor performances from the group stages now the real stuff begins.

1986 : quarter finals : England V Argentina 1-2 (cheated by the hand of god)
2005 : friendly :England V Argentina 3-2 (revenge was sweet)

1990 : West Germany 1-1 England (aet) (West Germany win 4-3 on penalties)
2002 : World cup qualification match : Germany v England : 1-5 (in their own back yard)

The last world cup we were beaten by a Ronaldinho fluke >:( and even in Portugal a couple of years ago we were denied a goal (Campbell fouled Terry while scoring and the ref was on the payroll).

We have one of the best sides that i can remember from my time on this planet (34 years)and it appears that lady luck might be on our side this year.
When sunday comes around crack open a couple of cold ones,play the theme from the great escape,remember Germany 1 England 5 and raise the roof.
