Apparently his Dad has said in the Bulgarian press that his son is not happy at Spurs since the arrival of the new manager and that he wants to leave the club
Well there`s a shock huh!!!

Probably all bollocks. His agent said earlier in the week that he had no intention of leaving Spurs.
Why is it a shock anyway? He`s been s*** this season, and based on his current performances and attitude, I don`t think anyone would be sad to see him go.

he has done himself no favours this season - particularly so in respect of his `value` as a footballer. £36m in the closed season? i doubt anyone would pay half that now..
he`s no darren bent after all..
erm.
*why we clap..?

Interview with Jol in the Daily Express, where he says Berbatov has an attitude problem.
Says there`s no doubting his talent, but he has no fight.
His performances have certainly proven that this season.
Tottenham has had a great team spirit over the past couple of years.
If he has a chip on his shoulder, get rid, move on. >:(

The interesting thing from that interview was that Jol didn`t massively slate him and said that he didn`t refuse to warm up for the game the other week.
The main thing he slated him for in the parts of the interview I saw stated how he was not a fighter so probably wasn`t the kind of person you wanted when everything was against you.
I don`t see him leaving anytime soon to be honest, especially as you`d get £15million tops??

In truth he`s still a fantastic striker, but he`s lost his edge this season. Is it because he wants to leave? Possibly. Is it because he`s not been getting enough support from the midfield? Possibly.
It`s worth noting however, that Berbatov does tend to play in an almost lazy like way, with the odd moment of greatness. So it`s pretty hard to judge his attitude on pitch, but the general consensus seems to be that he`s not that interested at the moment.
I`d love to see him stay, and pick up his form a bit. But if he wants to go, then so be it. I`d still expect him to see out this season though, and you`re probably right 1mills, it would be in the region of £15 million, perhaps more. I don`t think we`d want to leave him go for less than £20 million though, not considering what we paid for The Amazing Mr. Bent.
Though Bent did have a good game on Saturday. ;)

the "shock" comment was a sarcastic one - if you wonder why well he had a great yr last year, gets touted with a big expensive move elsewhere in the summer and then starts this year like a donkey - cue big sulk, moan at everyone else to lay blame for his fall in performance at their door rather than his own, complain he wants to leave

We only paid, what, £10.6million or something?
£15million to antyone else, £20million to f***ing Man U.
If only because I`m fed up of them letting others take the risk on players, only to wade in with big money when it works out. >:(
And no, we don`t want f***ing Wes Brown / O`Shea as part of the deal....

In fairness though who would you say that applies to out of our current squad?
Carrick and Saha? (Arguably Tevez, but that was because we didn`t like the look of the deal, which we were right to avoid!)
Personally I`d prefer to see a speedy little whippet striker come in, because Saha`s never going to be fully fit for a whole season (and 29 now I think), and I think that`s what we need in the team. Not many players about though who are good enough, but content to be 3rd/4th striker for the time being (although I`ll take Defoe off your hands ;) )
