surely, surely not but could it be ........................Rangers for the UEFA cup

Now don`t get me wrong i am probably the last person i ever thought would genuinely be saying this ( I kick with the other football foot you see) but after tonights results you have got to kind of wonder. Spurs or Everton were the only ones that on paper looked a big challenge however not looking good for them now. genuinely hope Rangers do, good for the game etc but who would have thought that one.

cheers

After my Everton`s poor performance tonight I`d say Rangers would have a chance if we were originally considered to be one the favourites at this stage!!

Rangers don`t have a snowball`s chance in hell of winning the competition. :D
Seriously, did you see the game?
Rangers were rank rotten, but were up against a Werder Bremen team that appeared to be made up of Sunday league players. :/
Their keeper, especially, had an absolute nightmare.
FWIW, I still think Spurs will go through.
PSV are a good team, but the game was actually quite even.
Only a dreadful mistake by Gilberto led to the goal.

Shockerooni Bowfer slagging off an SPL team after gubbing a so called superior team from a better league, I watched the game and Rangers gave then an absolute doing, hope they do what we did and get to final and lose league along the way :), Aye there keeper had a mare (not the 1st seemingly) but Rangers played typical Scottish football and hassled and harried them all night and in the end it could have been 3 or 4 nil quite easily.

Not to say they wont do a Lyon and throw in the towel in 2nd leg but cant take away last nights performance.

God, you`re boring. :¦
I saw nothing from Rangers last night that made me think `wow`.
I did see a terrible performance from Werder Bremen, with a clown keeper.
The record will show Rangers won it, that`s it.
I see nothing to make me suspect Rangers are in any way capable of winning the entire competition, which is what the thread`s about.
You`ll only be reading what you want to read though, we`re used to that. :/

Listen mate anyone who watched that game last night and claims Rangers were Rank Rotten is completely blinkered, or clueless or biased or all 3, thats a fact, Rangers played very well wether or not u think thats due to them being good or Bremen being crap is neither here nor there although we all know what ur view would be.

So, mbilko, sticking to the point of the thread. :¦
Do you think Rangers are capable of winning the entire competition?

LOL nice sidestep :)

if they play like last night, i think Bayern aside after last nights results they would be 2nd favorites, so why not. and on another note, I think last nights Bayern result just showed how well Aberdeen did against them at Pittodrie

So, based on 1 night`s results, you`d put them second favourites.
Dear oh dear... :¦

Current betting;

Bayern 2/1
Fiorentina 7/1
Getafe 7/1
Tottenham 8/1
PSV 12/1
Marseille 12/1
Sporting Lisbon 14/1
Rangers 16/1

No not on 1 nights result, on the performace as well as some of the performances in cl also, unfortunately Rangers problem is they have been very hit and miss but looking at that betting I would say they are certainly better placed than ur beloved spurs, in fact Bayern as i said earlier and Fiorentina (didnt see game but was good performace by all accounts) are the only teams I would hope to avoid tbh. I hope they dont, but think they can.
