The death of Tommy Burns, ex-Celtic player and manager, has just been announced.

I`m a Rangers supporter but I`d like to pass on my sympathies to his family.

RIP Tommy.

In the days of bitter and cynical management and coaches styles Tommy still acted with decency and dignity. A man of conviction and honour who wore his heart on his sleeve.

Knew the cancer had returned but never realised it was this bad :(, he was by all accounts a really decent bloke who was Celtic thru and thru, never heard a bad word about him. He will be missed RIP Tommy

really really sad news indeed. was manager of killie when i used to go with boys from work and was a genuinely nice guy (we actually trained with the team so to speak one day beside Rugby park when match was snowed off). many tears will be shed this weekend all across scotland for sure. Spoke to a bunch of gers fans tonight who were down south yesterday and this was the first thing they spoke about. Puts silly cup finals etc in perspective.
