No, nothing more. Got everything crossed for him. Reports on twitter suggest they got him breathing in the ambulance, hope there`s some truth to it.

Absolutely horrendous situation.thoughts are with him and his family. Hope the twitter rumours are true.

That the definlirator was available so quick hopefully helped. A player in Spain died last year (I think in La Liga) died because one was not available at the ground. It is is now mandatory but a shame it took a tradegy for that rule to come in place.

I had turned the volume down on the match as was on the phone and only looked up and turned on the sound today wondering what was happening. Could tell the seriousness as Coyle was on the pitch, so didn`t rewind to see what had happened. Took a while to realise HOW serious it was though (thought it could have been bad break/nasty fal or something for a few mins).

It really didn`t look good for a bit and hopefully that means the worst has passed.

Just seen he`s stable. Such a relief, hope he goes on to make a full recovery.

I had AED (defib) training recently in work and the difference early access to it is incredible.  Realistically, if you`ve had a cardiac arrest, then without it there`s not a high chance of survival despite all the treatment you may give. :( )
Not aware of the incident you`re referring to mills, but am staggered any club didn`t have one.

Fingers crossed Fabrice.

Just googled and at first thought I had completely made up the story.  I haven`t but have misremembered to an extent.

A player did die due to lack of defiblirator but it was for Sevilla in 2007.

The player last season was in the second division and due to the death of the player in 2007, the rule was created that every 1st and 2nd division club had to have one.

(I doubt there has been much progress since 2007 to last year for the requirement to have them, but felt I should clarify the actual position).

When googling what it did remind me of was the fact that they question how often it had happened in Spain.

Here`s a bit from the article that "reminded" me.

MADRID: As Miguel Garcia recovers from the heart attack which almost killed him during a second-division soccer match in Spain, he can thank changes in the law following the death of another player for saving his life.Garcia's collapse, during a game between his Salamanca side and Real Betis at the end of October, was the latest in a series of incidents that have shocked Spanish soccer fans.Sevilla's Antonio Puerta died in hospital three days after collapsing during a La Liga match in 2007 at the age of 22 and his death sparked a new law that all first- and second-division clubs should keep defibrillators ready at their grounds.Real Madrid's Ruben de la Red survived after collapsing during a King's Cup match in October 2008 and last month announced that he was heeding doctors' advice not to return to the game as a player, taking up a coaching job instead.Espanyols Dani Jarque died suddenly in his hotel room while on a pre-season tour in 2009 and Sevillas Sergio Sanchez is trying to come back after surgery on a heart condition discovered by doctors in January.

The 31-year-old Garcia, however, will not return to the field after being told by doctors to give up playing.

Also with regards to Muamba I realise that his position is now classed as critical and still in intensive care and myself and other probably misinterpreted the "stable condition" as that he should be okay.

BUT as someone who had my cousin in a car accident and after a month in intensive care and being told he will have a 10% chance of surviving that day as his lungs had collapsed (as he was a smoker ), and my cousin is still here today, I take the to take the positives in situations.

I think the majority of us whilst hoping Muamba would recover, thought he was gone after leaving the pitch given the fact they were still doing their best to resuscitate after 10mins.  That they got him breathing and he`s now in intensive care and critical is still a "good" thing.

I guess on the positive side, he would be very fit, so hopefully his body can take the battering it got to keep him going.

I`m glad they abandoned the game.
