Slightly quirky and maybe not entirely what you'd expect.

2 episodes in Dominic West (will always be Jimmy McNulty to me) is brilliant :)

really good, doesn't matter how much the "based on" has strayed from the reality, it's odd to think there must be some truth to what I assume are exaggerated events :)

But saying that, I remember watching, then reading Generation Kill, and it was quite eye opening how ludicrous some of the reality of war was :(

Episode 6
Finished.
Not really something you could do a season two of but bloody exceptional.
Loved everything about it.
Casting, filming, editing, playlist.
Acting absolutely faultless for me.
I wouldn't single anyone out for best actor but personally loved Jack O'Connell as Paddy Mayne.

Not having watched the end credits it did occur to me later that was a bloody silly statement considering the regiment's still going.

I heard Jack O'Connell being interviewed about it and the whole AC/DC thing came from someone down the production tree putting it over some rough cuts and the director thought 'That works, we'll keep it'
