Review for Cygnett Dashview for iPhone and iPod
Introduction
You need to attach your iPhone to your car windscreen. Surely there's an app for that?
Well, no. But there is the Cygnett Dashview, which will do the job for you.
With the rash of iPhone applications out there, you may have noticed that there are plenty of GPS/SatNav/turn-by-turn navigation applications for it. TomTom would be the obvious one, but there are loads including Navigon, Sygic, iGo My Way, Co-Pilot, NDrive, NavMii, Magellan Roadmate and Nav4D to name but a few!
With those kinds of apps (and plenty of others too), you need a way of securing your iPhone so that you can use them.
Operation
Pretty simple really. Attach it to your windscreen, insert iPhone. Get your app up and running and then drive off. It also includes a 3.5mm audio cable so you can connect your iPhone to your car stereo (if yours has a 3.5mm jack).
Conclusion
A great little bit of kit at a very competitive price (you can currently buy it for 12-13 pounds online - just search for it). It's probably one of the best bargains out there. It's a hell of a lot cheaper than the TomTom offering too. That's around 100 pounds, but it does boost the GPS signal for that price.
If you're looking to attach your iPhone to your car, you can't go far wrong with this!
