About this user: I was very excited to hear that the original Thunderbirds series was to be re-mastered to Blu-Ray.But hearing that the image is cropped to 16x9 killed it for me.I think Gerry Anderson is correct in the wires being visible on HD.That can easily be removed digitally when scanning.However
it was framed for 4x3(12x9) so show it that way.If viewers want to see it 16x9 they can easily zoom.
I heared that UFO was also telecast recently in 16x9.When will young execs learn to leave it alone.I like most fans believe that if it's shot
with a particular aspect ratio then we should see it that way.Alot of movies on DVD have been transfered 16x9 but you get to see more in the VHS versions.The same thing with cinemascope 2:35
show the whole image.
