Synopsis:
One of the most talked-about movies of the year is also one of the funniest!
In this hilarious comic fantasy from writer/director Kevin Smith (Clerks, Chasing Amy) two banished angels (Ben Affleck and Matt Damon) find a loophole that would get them back into Heaven. The only snag? They`ll be destroying existence in the process.
In an effort to stop them, the overworked Voice of God (Alan Rickman) taps cynical mortal Bethany (Linda Fiorentino) to save the world by preventing the angels from reaching their unholy destination: New Jersey!
Throw in two unlikely prophets named Jay and Silent Bob (Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith), the quick-witted yet little-known thirteenth apostle (Chris Rock) and a sexy, former muse with a case of writer`s block (Salma Hayek) and you`ve got a hysterical and thrilling race against time packed with an all-star cast that Entertainment Weekly called "one of the ten best movies of 1999!"

Your Opinions and Comments
The video and audio quality are both excellent, but the extras really let this disc down. Smith's discs are (usually) excellent on the extras front - with amusing commentaries, and usually a huge selection of deleted scenes. But what do we get on this disc? A couple of trailers & TV spots, and 20 minutes of interviews with the cast, the quality of which is appalling (plus, half the time you can't understand what the German interviewer is saying anyway!). The only interview that is worth watching is Kevin Smith's (luckily the first of the bunch) which is amusing and informative, but don't bother with the others.
Overall an excellent film, but you'd be better off buying the R1 version which has lots of lovely extra features.
It`s not as good as Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back but I feel it is still very funny film.
Shame about the Extras but the Interviews do give some good insight
Kevin Smith has done it again.
This unfortunotley isnt.
However it is pretty cheap to pick up at the mo and is a bloody good film!
Probably Kevin Smith`s second best after Clerks
Ben Afflek and Matt Damon are great innit Salma Hyack was also great in this but the star of the movie is by far Jason Mewes in Dogma he really started to show that he could act he was no longer Kevin Smith`s stoned friend who allways played himself in movies and he has proved it again in JASBSB. So back to the film for those of you who dont know the plot is 2 angels kicked out of heaven find a way back in dont know if that if they do that the world will end.A crazy band of people try to stop them.
theres a very simple plot for ya
well thats the end of another waffled review!
